Rwanda Yearly Meeting of Friends

Affiliated with Evangelical Friends International, Rwanda Yearly Meeting has over 5,000 members, 7 Local Churches, 4 Secondary Schools, 4 Primary Schools, 1 Bible School. They have 1 Theological College which covers both Rwanda and Burundi. David Bucura is the Chairman of the College.

The Youth and women Departments are doing very well. They have a centre known as, "Friends Peace House". This centre is hosting the following Departments:

• Youth
• Women
• Rooms for training seminars on CAPP, AVP,
  AIDS Programme, NCC, and Africa Great Lakes
  Initiative Programme activities.

They have received support from the European Union. Rwanda Friends are known as, "Peace Church. David Bucura has been the Treasurer of National Council of Churches in Rwanda.

During the visit Mrs. Bush and Blare this year they visited the Friends Church and even worshipped there.
